In order to achieve excellent research results, not only outstanding scientists are needed, but also an efficient system of scientific services that specifically support the work of the departments with state-of-the-art technologies. At the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim these are the service groups:

Noninvasive, high-resolution small animal imaging systems have emerged as important tools for laboratory animal research and a variety of different modalities are available for researchers. Our facility comprises Small Animal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Micro X-ray Computed Tomography (µ-CT).
