Board of Directors

The Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research is run by the three directors Thomas Braun, Stefan Offermanns and Didier Stainier. They are mutually responsible for the scientific and administrative managment of the institute. The Managing Director is determined for a certain period of time. From 1st July 2026 until 30th June 2029 the Managing Director is Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Braun.
