Single-cell transcriptomic profiling of the developing zebrafish heart

We have profiled the transcriptome of over 34,000 cells from dissected hearts encompassing 10 development stages, ranging from 25 hours to 60 days post-fertilization. We identified and sub-clustered all known cardiac cell types, including myocardial, endocardial, epicardial, and smooth muscle cells.

Our goal is for the Danioheart atlas to serve as a valuable resource for the scientific community providing a foundation for an enhanced understanding of the mechanisms underlying heart development.
