Reymond studied Biology at the Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia) before moving to Taiwan to pursue a Master’s degree in Systems Biology at National Central University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany) in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Julian König, where he investigated alternative splicing regulation by examining transcriptome-wide RNA–protein interactions. Since 2019, Reymond has been a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Prof. Christian Münch at Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany), focusing on a stress response pathway triggered by the accumulation of misfolded proteins in mitochondria, known as the mitochondrial unfolded protein response. Since December 2025, Reymond is head of our Research Group Cellular Resilience.
