Inflammation is triggered immediately after cardiac injury, and its dynamics have been implied to be critical for heart regeneration; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.
My PhD project focuses on identifying and understanding early immune mechanisms and their functional relevance in deciding the fate of cardiac regeneration in zebrafish.
